Which, being Switzerland, I assumed it would. I figured this might give me just enough time to make my pre-booked train to Saint Moritz at 5.03pm. Read our guide to the best outdoor experiences in Switzerlandto discover excellent ways to appreciate the country’s beauty. We were due to touch down in Zurich 30 minutes late at 4.20pm. Jumping an impressive nine places, you adored Switzerland for its spectacular scenery, with many readers waxing lyrical about its lakes and mountains. Proabably I am not helping you much as I would give them equal marks for scenery but as I said in a differnt way. Scotland (I'm Scottish) is also a fantastic place but in a diferent way with lots more history, battle sites etc. Second one pending… My Swiss Air flight was delayed, triggering a sequence of unfortunate events. Switzerland is definately more dramatic with much higher mountains etc although it can be expensive. With some nifty manoeuvring we switched cars and I was airport-bound. There was only one way in to the house where I was staying, but my quick-thinking friend, Saint Francesco of Marseille, bundled me into his Mini and raced downhill to where Roger’s sporty Toyota was stranded in convoy. Each day reveals a new port of call, a sunny island or an exquisite. The driver, Roger, messaged to say he couldn’t reach me due to a “44,000-tonne truck” blocking the road (tonnage may be approximate). Things started to unravel in Marseille as I waited for an airport Uber. Still, I was surprised my latest fiasco happened mostly in Switzerland, a country previously known for its clockwork efficiency. Despite best-laid plans we all have travel days when nothing seems to go right. When Minion Rush was released at June 10, 2013, there was only one minion in it, Dave wearing various outfits.Ĭarl's firefighter outfit appears as a playable costume, Bee-do but the minion is still Dave, so the minion costume still remains two-eyed, instead of one-eyed in original design. He first appear watching Gru yelling at Otto, he was also seen laughing at Kevin running up to the phone for a phone call by Wild Knuckles, and he is seen at Wild Knuckles' funeral, as an angel.Īppearances in Other Media Illumination EntertainmentĬarl makes a cameo appearance in the opening title of Illumination Entertainment in Minions and Sing 2. He is later seen in the pillow fight, and is also one of the minions that went with Dru on Gru's Airship. He is seen in the final battle and seen landing on the ground. He is also seen helping with the escape plan. He is later seen in prison with black and white overralls with the number 328 along side Mark and Jerry. He is later seen singing, but afterwards gets arrested. He is later seen hungry, he chases after a pizza delivery guy, and gets chased by dogs. He is later seen in the rain when Frtiz asked where Gru is, and Carl denies it and is still upset about Gru not going back to villiany. He is seen with Mel, Kevin, Stuart, Tom, Jerry, and other minions waiting for Gru to go back to villiany, Gru tries to speak like a minion, he and the others blow a raspberry at Gru, and choose to quit. When Lucy blasted Gru's hydrocycle with the minions, Gru landed on the ship and, Carl and Jerry landed on the beach and started acting like DJs. Carl with another minion, Jerry joined as well. When Gru and Lucy were attempting to go and catch Balthazar Bratt. Later on he is seen with the entire Minion tribe chasing after Felonius Gru. He is first seen in the ice cave being sad and bored, when Dave claimed he found a new boss, then his mood changes dancing and singing. Carl continues to act as a fire siren (with the same loudness as with the megaphone ), much to the annoyance of Stuart, who grabs a fire extinguisher and sprays Carl out of the room.ĭue to this, Carl may be referred to as the Beedo Minion.Ĭarl also appears in Minions movie. When Gru sets his telephone on fire, Carl goes in Gru's Office acting as fire siren along with Jorge and Donald in a firefighter attire who try to extinguish the fire, much to Gru's annoyance, who snatches away the megaphone and leaves. If you would like more information about mail retention, or would like to set up a policy for your organization, please contact The request to enable a mail retention policy must come from a Super Admin in the domain. The two-year-old 2020 report will be deleted not the 1-year old version from 2021. If you update the file in a year, for example, changing the heading from “2020 Annual Report” to “2021 Annual Report”, when the 2-year anniversary arrives, Spanning Backup will only delete the first version of the document, not the second. If you make no additional changes to the file, the backup will be deleted in 2 years. If Drive Retention is set to 2 years (720 days) and you create a new document in Drive, Spanning Backup will detect and backup the file. The mail retention policy setting for your domain is displayed on the Settings page. For new users being backed up after a retention policy is set, no emails older than the retention period will be backed up.Spanning will delete all email messages in any backup with a received date greater than 180 days, and continue to do this on a daily basis automatically. To enable IMAP for your Gmail account as a whole, follow these steps: 1. IMAP needs to be enabled for both the Gmail account as a whole, as well as each of the email labels that you want backed up. An organization sets a 180 day email retention period in Spanning Spanning Backup uses IMAP to access your Gmail data, so if you're backing up Gmail you must have IMAP enabled in order for the backup to be successful. The email retention period will apply to all Spanning licensed users in your organization. You can set up a mail retention policy which will delete any email messages in your backups with a received date older than the retention period set. By default, Spanning Backup for G Suite retains your data as long as users have Spanning Licenses. Use the command line to open the folders rather than removing them is my advice if you don’t get exactly the syntax of the commands you are copy and paste into terminal. How can I make 'rm' move files to the trash can?Ī safer bet is to substitute open for rm and you do need to recognize -rf or any flags passed to rm and delete them. Worse, if you rm the wrong thing, you may delete more than you bargained for. In the unlikely event you have some issue caused by the leftover files, it’s less complicated and less time consuming to erase and reinstall a Mac and get your documents and apps reinstalled than it is to reconstruct what anaconda installed and surgically reverse every remnant left on the filesystem. Unless there’s a large file lying around you won’t gain anything cleaning up hundreds of files and other tools let you find folders and large files to clean them together. Set up Time Machine so you’re backing up going forward and next time you want to install similar tool chains and environments, be sure you have a backup so you can roll back if that install gives poor results. If you’ve deleted the main program and the main folders (which I repeat above), I would say you’re good. Enter rm -rf ~/anaconda3 to remove the directory. Open the Terminal.app or iTerm2 terminal application, and then remove your entire Anaconda directory, which has a name such as anaconda2, anaconda3, or ~/opt. You should be able to reclaim the 5 GB of space easily without worrying about some stub files and mostly empty config files. Installers and applications that spray files and detritus all over the filesystem and rely on users to run many scripts, all changing weekly with version upgrades quickly becomes an intractable problem. This is a specific example of a common problem. When you have tested all remove the backup directory shown in the doc.Edit your shell startup files to both remove any entry altering your path for conda and also the parts in the conda initialise section. You have to remove the section starting with # > conda initialize > and ending with # However for more confusion the doc does not cover the normal new updates to. The doc says look for a line like that and then edit to remove it. To remove the entries from your shell first note that your step 10 is NOT what the uninstall doc says. You can find out the correct path by running conda info before starting to remove things The entry for base environment shows you the directory to remove. The uninstall for a single user only needs the first 4 steps (and possibly 3 is not required as 2 does that) and a step to alter your shell startup filesīut step 4 has to use the directory you installed anaconda in which is not always ~/anaconda. The installation put it in /opt/anaconda but the uninstall instructions assume you place it is ~/anaconda The issue is that the uninstall instructions assume that you have installed anaconda for just yourself however you have installed it for all users of the machine. I just wanted delete all the packages and files related to Anaconda. _conda_setup="$('/opt/anaconda3/bin/conda' 'shell.bash' 'hook' 2> /dev/null)" # !! Contents within this block are managed by 'conda init' !! bash_profil, because maybe It can be related with "my terminal (base) problem": # > conda initialize > Lots of other packages are still available: # packages in environment at /opt/anaconda3:Īlso, conda still run in my terminal as I see (base) every time I open it, here an example: (base) ~ % I'm sure another folder was in /user/MYNAME, but I think I've deleted it, because I can't see it anymore, even in the hidden folders. However, I didn't delete everything because I have still a folder in /opt path, /opt/anaconda3. I'm not sure I did the right steps, maybe you can give me some advice.
In recording mode, you will see the current time at the top of the screen. However, by default, the presenter view is shared with participants Zoom: share Screen - no choice. Click Play in the top menu and then Record Slideshow. PowerPoint is also a possibility, if that solves my problem. Its possible to use a 2nd monitor with Keynote on iOS. I hope you can help me out with this interesting challenge. The third option appears to be the only one possible so far, but I don't know how to control Keynote on three Macs simultaneously. The second option has also been unsuccessful so far, as I am not able to start ánd control three slideshows at the same time on one Mac. The first option appears to be impossible, as Keynote will always try to fit the presentation on one screen. To change the size of your presenter notes, move your pointer over the presenter notes, then use the text. To go to the next or previous slides, use the left and right arrow keys. three MacBooks, each connected to one screen: therefore I want to be able to control each MacBook at the same time. To show the presenter display window in Keynote for iCloud, move your pointer near the bottom of the slideshow window, then click the presenter display window button.one slide with the with of three screens (therefore creating one big external screen). In short, I want to show three separate slides at the same time and click through them simultaneously (in other words: next slide means a new slide on each separate screen). Unfortunately, that's where the hard part starts: the software. (To see which version of Keynote you have, choose Keynote > About Keynote from the Keynote menu at the top of your screen.) To explore the Keynote User Guide, click Table of Contents at the top of the page, or enter a word or phrase in the search field. If you want to have different things appear on your notebook screen and the presentation screen, youll need to. This guide helps you get started using Keynote 12.2 on your Mac. Using the 2 Thunderbolt ports and HDMI port of my MacBook Pro, I have managed to connect all screens successfully. To set dual display preferences Figure 12.8. I want to use all three of them, at the same time. In about two weeks I have a presentation in a room where I have three separate flatscreens at my disposal. It looks like once the buildings are framed, sheathed and fitted with windows and doors, wood rails are attached over the housewrap for the vertical siding, which is attached in segments. Occupancy/project completion is expected by mid-August, in time for the fall academic semester.” Exterior features include 70 parking spaces, bike racks, stormwater ponds, bioretention areas, a children’s playground, and a dog park. Stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer and dryer, and marble tile are also planned. Cable and most utilities (all except electric) are included in the rent, the units come partially furnished, and pets, include large dogs, are allowed. A two-bedroom will be $1,800/month, a three-bedroom $2,500/month, and a four-bedroom $3,200/month. Management has discreetly posted the figures online. Looking at the website FAQ, it’s clearly geared to Cornell students, and though rents haven’t been posted on most websites, it looks like C.S.P. But hey, apparently they’re giving $20 lunch gift card as a thank you for doing tours, so we know it’s not 100%. The website for the project touts that two of the buildings are 100% leased, which doesn’t give any clues about what percentage of all the units are leased - I could tell you the first two houses on my street are occupied, but if the other five are vacant, then that paints a substantially different picture of my street. “Next to the Cornell Arboretum, the 42-unit, $7.5 million Ivy Ridge Townhomes are fully framed, and two of the townhouse strings are practically complete from the outside. From the Voice, with the abridged photo set: If you care more about function and free, go with Classic Shell. If you care more about looks than price, go with Start10 from Stardock. People who like to hack things themselves should go with our first option, the do-it-yourself Start Menu created using the Toolbars on the Taskbar. The above three options come with their own strengths. The Desktop configures options that make more sense if the user installs other Startdock utilities. Under Configure choose things like the size of the icons, which items to include on the Start menu and which of those show up as fly out menus or just links. Control changes what the Start button the keyboard opens. For example, the Windows 7 Style menu lets a user pick from Default theme, Default theme with Black Edges, Rounded and Shadow.Ī drop down box at the bottom of the Style section lets users choose a different Start button image. Pick one and there’s a drop down box to change each style of menu. The Style section lets users pick the Windows 7 style Start menu. Click or tap on these labels listed on the left side of the configuration screen. Inside the configuration screen we get five screens: Style, Configure, Control, Desktop and About. Right-click the Start menu with Start10 installed and running to find the Configure Start10 link to the program’s settings. So pick between better looking features with Start10 or free with Classic Shell above. Start 10 comes with a better looking collection of customizations, but it also costs $5 after a 30 day free trial. Pick between different Start Menu styles from the Classic, 2 columns, or Windows 7 Style.Skin the menu to make it look like Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 or others.Change sounds associated with various Classic Shell functions. This shows a windows with some tabs for the settings available. For example, after installing the program and setting it to run each time the computer boots, right-click it and choose Settings. The comprehensive level of features and customizations make it worth downloading. If Classic Shell only offered custom start button styles, no one would want it. The style below looks like the old Windows XP Start button. The link above puts a shell icon on where the Start button should sit. I don’t install any of the other features like Classic Internet Explorer or Classic File Manager. It also comes with some junk, so watch carefully while installing the program. Classic Shell comes with a lot of great features, like multiple styles of start menus as shown in the two images below. Classic ShellĬlassic Shell offers the best option to bring back the Windows 7 style Start menu and costs nothing. In order to do that, use the commands found at HowToGeek. Create a folder and fill it with links to programs, features or other things. This lets the user select a folder to work as a toolbar. Right-click on the Taskbar and choose Toolbars and then New toolbar …. One option includes creating your own Start Menu using the Toolbars feature of the Taskbar, the bar across the bottom of the Windows 10 screen that includes the Start Menu, Cortana, some Program icons and the Action Center along the right. We’ll start with a way to hack together a do-it-yourself Start Menu replacement using features built into Windows 10. This includes the two best third-party utilities, one that’s free and one that costs $5, but looks better. How to Make the Windows 10 Start Menu Look Like Windows 7Ī lot of Windows Start menu button alternatives exist. Then choose Pin to Start to get the more useful apps on the Start Menu/Start Screen or right-click and unpin the useless tiles. The user must right-click each app under All apps. This requires more configuration that’s not as easy as it should be. The Windows 10 Start Menu includes some useless app tiles on it by default. The third-party utilities bring back the All Programs fly out and make it possible to customize the font sizes to make them bigger and easier to touch or read. The All apps button shows a list of programs installed, but it’s rather small and requires the user to scroll up or down to find apps at the end of the list. The utilities described below will show how to get this back. Windows 7 and earlier included a fly out menu called All Programs that made it easy to see all the programs installed on the computer. Second, the program hides all the links to installed programs under a single button called All apps. Here are a couple of reasons many people don’t like the new Windows 10 Start Menu.įirst, the Windows 10 Start Menu removes the links to useful features like Control Panel, Computer and the Run command. Though Uniswap launched back in November 2018, it wasn't until relatively recently that the protocol began to see significant traction. With an array of official and unoffical resources for developers to build on the protocol, we should expect to see many more integrations between Uniswap’s unique token swapping system and new decentralized finance ( DeFi) products in the coming years. The interface even offers simple one-click solutions for purchasing pool tokens in combination with bZx token strategies. Interfaces such as Zapper.fi allow users to add funds to Uniswap pools using just ETH instead of ETH and another token. For example, InstaDApp allows you to add funds into Uniswap pools without needing to access the official Uniswap user interface. Since Uniswap is an open protocol of smart contracts, a number of different front-end user interfaces have already been created for it. Once you've completed your first trade on Uniswap, there are plenty of options for more advanced users. Once it’s done, your tokens will appear in your ERC20 wallet. When you’re ready, confirm the transaction and it will then be processed. Through Uniswap, you’re able to purchase ether (ETH) and any of the thousands of ERC20 tokens supported by the platform. Each pool token represents a user’s share of the pool’s total assets and share of the pool’s 0.3% trading fee. When funds are reclaimed, the pool tokens are burned or destroyed. Pool tokens are created whenever funds are deposited into the pool and as an ERC20 token, pool tokens can be freely exchanged, moved, and used in other dapps. Whenever new ETH/ERC20 tokens are contributed to a Uniswap liquidity pool, the contributor receives a “pool token”, which is also an ERC20 token. To contribute to a liquidity pool, you need an equal value of ETH and ERC20 tokens. Once a token has its own exchange smart contract and liquidity pool, anyone can trade the token or contribute to the liquidity pool while earning a liquidity provider fee of 0.3%. Each token has its own smart contract and liquidity pool–if one doesn’t exist, it can be created easily. What else is different about Uniswap?Ībsolutely any ERC20 token can be listed on Uniswap–no permission required. Essentially what Uniswap is doing is balancing out the value of tokens, and the swapping of them based on how much people want to buy and sell them. Whenever someone buys Durian Token with ETH, the supply of Durian Token decreases while the supply of ETH increases–the price of Durian Token goes up.Īs a result, the price of tokens on Uniswap can only change if trades occur. This equation uses the balance between the ETH and ERC20 tokens–and supply and demand–to determine the price of a particular token. In the equation, x and y represent the quantity of ETH and ERC20 tokens available in a liquidity pool and k is a constant value. However, decentralized exchanges have their own problems, mainly lack of liquidity-which means a lack of amount of money sloshing around an exchange that makes trading faster and more efficient. DEXs aim to solve many of the problems of their centralized counterparts, including the risk of hacking, mismanagement, and arbitrary fees. Uniswap is an example of one of the core products in the DeFi ecosystem, the decentralized crypto exchange, or DEX. The burgeoning decentralized finance ( DeFi) ecosystem aims to use decentralized, non-custodial financial products to replace centralized middlemen in financial applications such as loans, insurance and derivatives. Uniswap V3 launched in May 2021, adding new features including concentrated liquidity and multiple fee tiers. In September 2020, Uniswap launched its UNI governance token with an airdrop to anyone who had used the protocol before September 1.Uniswap is an Ethereum-based decentralized exchange (DEX) that allows anyone to swap ERC20 tokens. |
